How thin is a Cernir slim strap?

Our slim straps are 2.5mm thick at the lugs and taper to 1.8mm at the tail. For comparison, our padded straps run from 4.5mm at the lugs to 2.0mm. The thin profile keeps the watch close to the wrist and lets the strap slide under a shirt cuff.

Thin, but still four layers

A thin strap is not a single sheet of leather. Each slim strap is built from four layers: the outer leather, a reinforcement layer that holds the shape and limits stretching, extra strength at the spring bars, and a lining in soft Zermatt calfskin from Tanneries Haas. Which watches suit a thin leather strap?
